Available in 3 versions (4 in 4 out, 4 in 8 out, and 8 in 12 out), the Server Matrix is the heart of the AViLYnX system with all A/V source & Viewing Stations connecting to it. The Server Matrix switches the selected A/V source output to the Viewing Station, it also routes the controlling IR commands to the specific A/V source (therefore enabling multiple like equipment to be viewed & controlled independently).
The Server Matrix is pre-programmed with a considerable database of IR codes, enabling conversion of the incoming AViLYnX IR commands into correct IR commands for each source connected. Should the IR codes for a particular source device not be in the database, the Server Matrix has a learning mode. There are also memory locations available for programming up to 8 extra source IR remote controls into the Server Matrix.
Each Server Matrix enables the control of the sources on a descending priority basis, with all Viewing Stations deferring to Viewing Station 1. The following unique parental control functions are also controlled by the AViLYnX
“Me View”
Allows any connected A/V source to be available only to a single Viewing Station until released.
“Peek a View”
Allows Viewing Station 1 or 2 a short glimpse at what a particular Viewing Station is currently watching.
“No View”
Allows Viewing Station 1 or 2 to shut off all A/V sources to a particular Viewing Station.
HD Compatibility
HD source equipment can also be connected to the AViLYnX system. The SD output from an HD source can be fed to the server matrix for distribution to viewing locations around the home.
